Fundamentals of Success
A mediocre teacher tells learners, a good teacher explains
to learners, a superior teacher demonstrates. Benson Ng’ang’a
Ndung’u, an accomplished IT expert in Thika Town had the
following to say about the sessions we had in class: “The greatest
teacher is the one who indeed does not bid you to enter the
house of wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold, and that
is exactly what you did. The knowledge you imparted has taken
us to great horizons where we begin to perceive the sky as a
starng point and not the limit. In my perspecve then, I hated
every minute of learning; but I say I suered then and now am
living the rest of my life as a champion, just because you got
involved. Hats o, Mr.Maina.”
Amos Nyaga, an ocer with the Kenya Defence Forces said:
“You were the best teacher ever, and that is why we will always
remember you, Sir. We achieved so much from your wise words
and guidance. We do not just remember you because you taught
us, because every other teacher also taught. You did not just
teach, but you inspired and triggered the re and the bravado in
us to be all what we can be. Personally, I remember the echoes
of your robust voice urging us never to burry our dreams no
maer what. That is why we are proud of you.”
Steve Nigel, a former medical student at Nairobi University
wrote, “Maina Gathige, our greatness and the levels we have
reached were triggered by your contribuon. What you did in
our lives is great and cannot be rewarded in words; only God can
truly reward you. We count ourselves blessed to have had the
chance to have our future shaped by you.”
